Here are two images of my daughter Erica's broken Femur....
before and
after. The break was severe enough that one leg was shorter than the
other.
The fix was to hallow out the Femur and insert a 12" long Titanium Rod
into
the center of the bone and secure it with 3 Titanium Screws which allowed
her to continue Motocross. The rod and screws were removed after 6 month
and
MX is still her favorite thing to do.
Chad Stewart now keeps his
thumbs away from rear sprockets.
